拡大《Bowl and Milk-Jug》

Paul CÉZANNE

《Bowl and Milk-Jug》

c. 1873-77  Oil on canvas

Cézanne liked painting still lifes, since he could rearrange the objects in them freely during his painterly experiments. He continued throughout his life to use the still life as his genre for experimentation, applying the results in his figure paintings and landscapes. This still life is from his early period. It clearly presents the characteristics of his still lifes, including altering spaces and forms to make the composition more stable.
