Ishibashi Hiroshi, Chairman of the Ishibashi Foundation and Director of the Artizon Museum, Receives the 2023 Red Dot: Personality Prize

Ishibashi Hiroshi, Chairman of the Ishibashi Foundation and Director of the Artizon Museum, has been awarded the globally prestigious Red Dot Design Award’s 2023 Personality Prize.

The Personality Prize, which recognizes individuals who contribute to the development of design, was created in 2021. Ishibashi Hiroshi is the third winner and the first Japanese awarded this prize.

He received the prize for his proactive implementation of design management since the 1970s, his creation of a globally oriented space for design promotion programs and exchanges, and the Artizon Museum’s achievements in recent years.

In 2022, the Artizon Museum’s original Kyobashi Chair was chosen for the Red Dot Design Award Best of the Best Prize.
