About this exhibition
The Bridgestone Museum of Art and the Ishibashi Museum of Art conducted special research, both documentary and interview-based, on the formation of Ishibashi Shojiro's art collection. This Exhibition featured the 34 Japanese Western-style paintings most of which belong to the Ishibashi Museum of Art. In the permanent collection space, 144 major works of the Bridgestone Museum of Art (excluding works on paper) were exhibited.
