Learning Program

The Artizon Museum, in addition to introducing works of art through its exhibitions, offers a wide variety of programs to enable people to enjoy art, and this museum, more fully.

Saturday Lectures

The Saturday lectures have been carried out since the Bridgestone Museum of Art opened. The topics focus on fine art but include a wide range of themes related to art and culture, each presented by an expert in that field.

Gallery Talks

Our curators describe and interpret works on display in exhibitions and from our collection. These talks may present new ways of viewing and enjoying exhibitions and art, through considering the context in which a work was created or the artist’s thinking, for example.

Family Programs

Enjoy the museum as a family in this program designed for families with elementary-school-aged children. A variety of activities make it possible to thoughtfully experience and enjoy paintings and sculptures.

School Days and School Programs

We offer gallery talks and tours of the museum for school groups ranging from day care and kindergarten children to graduate students.
These programs can also be carried out online.

Internships

This program, for graduate students who hope to work in museums in the future, consists of about a year of practical training through supporting activities at the museum.

Teachers Programs

These programs, which are directed at educators from elementary school through university levels, will deepen participants’ understanding of our collection and activities. Each program is designed as an opportunity to explore ways to visit museums and to make best use of those visits.

Programs related to our exhibitions or other topics are held occasionally.

Corporate Programs

A visit to a museum can be a unique opportunity for corporate employees and organization members for a training and self development experience. Program content can be customized to combine, for example, lectures and appreciation of works on display. Please contact us to discuss possibilities.

ARC Lectures

These lectures introduce works of art, principally works from the Ishibashi Foundation collection, from a variety of perspectives.

ARC Workshops

For these workshops. we invite artists, educators, and other specialists in a variety of fields to serve as instructors.

ARC School Programs

We offer tours of the Ishibashi Foundation Art Research Center, our museum’s backstage, for elementary, junior high, and high school students. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

Outreach

The museum conducts outreach programs, including classes, lectures, symposia, and workshops, at schools, institutions offering adult education, and other venues. The content can be organized to suit the purposes and preferences of the institution. Please contact us to discuss possibilities.

Online Program: Artizon Kids’ Plaza

Artizon Kids’ Plaza goes from the galleries to children via streaming videos. The guides are Tony the Art Teller and Kaizuka Tsuyoshi. For each event, they introduce either one painting or one sculpture.

Kids Worksheet

Our Kids Worksheets are designed to be used at the Artizon Museum or at home. Let's enjoy artworks while answering the questions! The texts in these worksheets are planned aimed for students in junior high school and above. For younger children, we recommend reading the texts with a parent or other adult.
